On Wednesday, August 19th 2026, at 11:00 AM ET (17:00 PM CET) the International Society for Laboratory Hematology will host a webinar in the 2026 e-Learning series: "Gating Strategies in Flow Cytometry: a Case-Based Approach".

The webinar will be presented by Wolfgang Kern, MLL Munich Leukemia Laboratory, Germany; Cara Shirai, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, USA, will be the Moderator.

Overview:

Flow cytometry is an integral part of dianostics in hematologic neoplasms. Both idenfication and characterization of normal and aberrant cell populations is the basis to apply flow cytometry. The presentation will focus on several aspects of identifying populations using gating.

 Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the multidimensionality of flow cytometry.

  • Follow mechanisms of gating.

  • Apply knowledge to diagnostic settings.
