ISLH Webinar Series: September 2025
09/09/2025
On Tuesday, September 16th 2025, at 11:00 AM ET (17:00 PM CET) the International Society for Laboratory Hematology will host a webinar in the 2025 e-Learning series: "Effects of Cellular and Immunotherapy on Disease Detection by Flow Cytometry".
The webinar will be presented by Jean Oak, MD, PhD, Stanford University, CA, USA, Cara Lunn Shirai, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, USA, will be the Moderator.
Overview:
Cellular and antibody-based immunotherapies have transformed the treatment landscape for hematologic malignancies, but they also introduce significant challenges for disease monitoring by flow cytometry. This session will examine how these therapies affect antigen expression, leading to common diagnostic pitfalls, patterns of antigen downregulation, and the emergence of atypical populations. Emphasis will be placed on thoughtful multiparameter panel design, the use of alternative detection antigens, and the adaptation of gating strategies in the post-therapy setting.
Learning Objectives:
-
Common diagnostic pitfalls post-immunotherapy
-
Panel design considerations with alternative detection antigens
-
Gating strategies in the setting of antigen loss
We look forward to your participation in this event! There is no charge to participate in the live webinar.
